Texture Process
I was given this model to make stylized textures for. The goal was to make the model look handpainted

Textures
When deciding on the direction for the art style, as the lead artist I concluded that a style reminiscent of arts and crafts would fit well with The Lost Star. For the textures I decided to do a hand-painted style with color jitter and visible paint strokes.
In-game Implementation
Models by 3D Artist Kevin Rivera.
2D Sprites
For the 2D sprites, I went with a handmade sticker look by adding white outlines and coloring with textured brushes along with cross hatching to replicate the effect of color pencils.
In-game Implementation
2D sprites implemented in the 3D environment.
Reflection
The Lost Star was the first large scale game project I worked on and the first time I took on the role of lead artist. While working on this project not only did I learn about the game art pipeline and implementation in Unity, but I also gained experience in team management. It was through this project that I developed workflows that used in projects later on.
